Transport & Installation - Offshore Wind Turbines

A2SEA was formed in 2000 in response to a market requirement to install 80 offshore wind turbines at Horns Rev, Denmark in a safe and efficient manner.  The two crane vessels that were constructed to work this project were so successful that A2SEA is now the clear market leader in this field, having gone on to install over 70% of all offshore wind turbines in the world since that time.  Further projects have been undertaken in the UK, Denmark and most recently in the Netherlands.
 

The offshore crew work exclusively for A2SEA allowing continuity of knowledge and experience from one project to the next.  The vessels can also be used purely for the transportation of components from the manufacturing region to the local project logistics harbour ensuring the valuable cargo is handled by skilled offshore operators at all times.

With offshore turbines forecast to increase in both number and size, A2SEA has already deveoped plans for the introduction of a third 'next generation' vessel so that it is ready to respond to market activity.
